I was 18 with an entry-level DSLR kit, a head full of ambition, and a heart full of dreams, but really— it all started with a nikon coolpix and a picmonkey subscription back in 2007. I've always been fiercely passionate about capturing the sincere, genuine moments that make up this lovely little life. It speaks to my soul.
But as life does, it pulled me in a different direction. I set my camera down to pick up a stethoscope, fall in love and get married, have my 2 perfect babies, and turn a house into our home. Those years changed me in the best ways—made me softer, patient, resilient, and more deeply aware of just how fleeting and precious the little day-to-day moments truly are.
But I never stopped wishing and dreaming and aching and longing to pick my camera back up and chase the dream that’s lived in my heart—long before 2007. With the love and support of those I’d call my biggest fans (the biggest being my sweet husband), I set my plans in motion. 12 years after holding that shiny new base kit camera for the first time, I took the leap— finally stepping away from my “big girl job” to chase this dream of capturing your memories full time. I’m ready to share the way I see the world—the way I love the world—through my lens, with all of you.
It feels like coming home after a really long day. And it's so, so good to be back.
